Seams, Gather Panels, Hem Flounces

At the very beginning and depending on your previous experience in front of a sewing machine, you sew lots of calico samples.

You sew a variety of seams, gather panels, hem flounces, stitch darts, insert a godet, attach a collar, snip into the corners of a placket ...

It’s not however all about the flounce or the godet or the french seam or the collar. It’s about accuracy and needle position and hand control and pinning correctly and confidence.

I want you to succeed in sewing.
I want you to enjoy sewing.
I want you to work with what’s in front of you.
