Friday Night Cook-up

I had a Wardrobe Therapy episode last Friday night.

I was going to two Christmas gatherings over that weekend and I like to wear something Christmassy to such things. Certainly no time to sew something this year!

I don’t mean the Santa earrings or reindeer antler kind of Christmassy thing but I wanted to wear colours that are a bit out there and festive. Anyhow I have this wonderful green skirt and rose coloured cotton top and thought they would certainly look splendid together.

The only problem was that the rose t-shirt (which I am going to copy at least three times next year – perfect length and neckline and flattens the tummy very efficiently) was looking somewhat washed out and had those most annoying white marks under the armholes.

So I picked up a rose coloured dye from the chemist and cooked it up in my kitchen.

When I first went searching for the dye I thought I might be lucky and find it in the supermarket while I was shopping.

They only had black dye and it reminded me of a great tip someone gave me. I don’t wear much black myself but if you do, your black garments could benefit from a bit of a Friday night cook-up to put some life back into your black.
